Here are some of the events that take place in the village hall and in Wimborne St Giles that you may be interested in. You can enjoy a variety of events from a yoga class, an art group, a delicious afternoon tea or a friendly coffee morning to name a few.

  • Yoga for Everyone

    MONDAYS (2nd and 4th) 10.30 am - 12 pm
    FRIDAY 9 - 11 am

    Following the tradition of Viniyoga, a practice suitable for all. These yoga classes will help you build strength, improve flexibility and create a sense of wellbeing and clarity in mind and body.

    Cost: £60 for 6 weeks

  • In Jolly Good Company

    MONDAYS (1st and 3rd) 12 pm - 4 pm

    On a Jolly Day, you can be as active or relaxed as you like. Our time together may include live music, singing, quizzes, gentle exercise and crafts. Oh… and there’s always lunch and tea and cake or biscuits in the afternoon.

    Cost: give as much as you can afford. We are a charity and rely on donations.

  • Fitness Class

    WEDNESDAYS 6.30 pm - 8 pm

    In our classes, we aim to improve your cardio, strength and whole-body condition. But most importantly to have fun. We are a small friendly bunch of mixed abilities, and if you want to improve your fitness or just get started you are very welcome to join us.

    Coast: £2.00 per session

  • Art Group

    THURSDAYS (term time only) 5 - 6 pm

    This art class is for children. All materials are provided but students are welcome to bring their own. These lessons are an opportunity to learn real art techniques, build skills and produce artwork, rather than playing.

    Places are limited so it’s important to book onto the course each term.  

    Cost: £10 per child, per week

  • Coffee & Cake

    SATURDAY (1st) 10.30 am - 12 pm

    Join us for coffee (or tea) and homemade cake on the first Saturday of every month.

    This monthly coffee morning is a lovely opportunity for everyone from surrounding villages and towns to visit our pretty village. Everyone is welcome. Proceeds go to the upkeep of the village hall.

  • Charity Teas

    SUNDAYS (27th Apr - 12th Oct) 2.30 pm - 5 pm

    Join us for our locally renowned afternoon teas. Enjoy delicious sandwiches, homemade cakes, meringues, scones and more.

    A different charity hosts the tea each week and the money raised goes towards their charity and the upkeep of the village hall.

  • Forestry Bar

    FRIDAYS 5 - 10 pm

    Enjoy the forestry Bar local pop-ups with different street food and events each week, alongside a great selection of local beers, speciality cocktails and everything in between!

  • Flower Festival

    SATURDAY & SUNDAY 12th and 13th July
    10 am - 6 pm

    The Church Flower Festival is another annual event and there’s always a theme running through the arrangements. All proceeds from the Flower Festival go towards the upkeep up maintenance of our beautiful Church.

    Refreshments will be served in the Village Hall.

  • We Out Here Festival

    14th - 17th AUGUST

    Held in the beautiful grounds of Wimborne St Giles this festival celebrates world-class music, alongside wellness, family and cultural activities, curated by BBC Radio 6’s Gilles Peterson.

    Music includes soul, hip hop, house, afro, electronica, jazz and everything in between.
